Welted Construction

Welted boots use a durable, resoleable Goodyear welt construction - a method where the upper is stitched to the sole with a tough leather welt. That stitch creates a stable, hard-wearing bond that holds up on the most demanding jobsites. These boots are fully waterproof and ultra-durable, built with an extra midsole layer for added support, and made to go the distance - shift after shift.

Different jobs need different soles. Two common types are the wedge sole and the 90° heel, each designed for different work environments. Which is right for you?

Wedge

Wedge sole boots have a flat bottom with a more shallow tread pattern that delivers even weight distribution and all-day comfort on hard, flat surfaces like concrete and shop floors - making them a favorite among factory workers, ironworkers, and carpenters. The lack of a defined heel also means they are less likely to track mud and debris.

90 Degree

Boots with a 90° heel, also known as defined or block heels, feature a distinct, sharp angle where the heel meets the sole that catches ladder rungs and grips uneven ground. The aggressive tread patterns often paired with 90° heels offer superior traction in mud, gravel, and on slippery surfaces, making them best for construction workers, loggers, and linesmen.

    The insides blow out before anything else

    The insides and heel area get worn and torn quickly, If you're not doing too hard of work you could maybe get a year or two out of them, but a hard construction job has definitely eaten mine up, a decent boot for the price I guess

    Different fit from last pair

    It appears a new material (plastic?!) was added to the tongue and the behind the grommets. Makes the grommets dig into my ankle which is not comfortable!

    My last boot was no problem.

    Amazing boot

    These boots kick ****!! I couldn't believe how light they were compared to most boots I have worn over the years. I am on my feet for up to 14 hrs and I can honestly say my feet and back have never felt better. I like the flat bottom sole but they have a flatter, smoother bottom than what I would prefer, I have slipped a few times due it that. I want to order another pair but these ones are in such good condition still, I can't justify it yet.

    Poor design of the new cushion in the tongue and the cushion around the top very uncomfortable very hot. Had four pair never have been upset until now.
